Sales representative accuses former employer of wrongful termination

Wrongful term 09

SHERMAN — A Collin County woman is suing her former employer, alleging retaliation and wrongful termination.

Sarah Morrison filed a complaint Dec. 7 in the Sherman Division of the Eastern District of Texas against PFSweb, Inc. alleging violation of Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

According to the complaint, Morrison, who began working for PFSweb as an inside sales representative Oct. 19, 2015, was fired from her employment May 5, 2016. As a consequence of her job loss, the suit says, Morrison has suffered economic damages and emotional distress, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment of life and damage to professional reputation.

The plaintiff alleges her supervisor subjected Morrison to discriminatory and disparaging treatment. Instead of correcting the discriminatory conduct, the suit says, the defendant's human resources department retaliated against her and terminated her employment.

Morrison seeks trial by jury, actual and consequential damages, attorney fees and court costs, pre- and post-judgment interest and all other appropriate relief. She is represented by attorney Rachel L. Kechejian of Kechejian Law PC in Dallas.
