Man alleges he was injured in collision with Duncan Thompson Transportation driver

Semi crash 02

MARSHALL – A Louisiana man alleges he was injured when the vehicle he was riding in was struck by a tractor-trailer.

Aaron Willis filed a complaint on Dec. 15 in the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Duncan Thompson Transportation LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 20, 2016, he was a passenger in a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado C3500 traveling northbound on state Highway 49 in Avinger and was stopped at the well-marked work zone when defendant's tractor-trailer violently struck the vehicle wherein plaintiff was riding. As a result of the collision, he alleges he sustained serious injuries to his back, neck, head and shoulders. The plaintiff holds Duncan Thompson Transportation LLC responsible because defendant's employee allegedly operated the tractor-trailer at a speed greater than reasonable and failed to timely stop the vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages of more than $75,000, pre- and post-judgment interest, all costs of court, and all other just and proper relief. He is represented by Richard Schechter of Law Office of Richard Schechter PC in Houston and Arlen Braud of Braud & Gallagher in Mandeville, Louisiana.
