Medical clinic alleges law firm, owner breached contract

Contract 04

HOUSTON — A Harris County medical clinic is suing a law firm and its owner, alleging breach of an agreement.

EastTex Medical Clinic filed a complaint Jan. 26 in Harris County District Court against Law Offices of Max Stovall and Max Stovall, alleging they breached their express contractual agreement.

According to the complaint, EastTex provided medical-related services for the defendants' clients to be used to negotiate and obtain a settlement. After submitting correct and accurate medical records and billings, the suit says, the plaintiff has yet to receive payments from the law firm.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed and have refused to make payments for the monies that remain due and have wrongfully exercised dominion and control over the funds.

EastTex Medical Clinic seeks trial by jury, monetary relief between $100,000 and $200,000 and all other just relief.  It is represented by attorney Adam W. Fomby of Fomby Law Firm in Houston.
