Jefferson County collision suits settle before trial

BEAUMONT – Two automobile collision lawsuits slated for trial settled before a jury could be selected, according to a courthouse official.

Both cases were called up in the 58th District Court, overseen by Judge Kent Walston.

The first case, Sherri Terhune v. Easton Merrit, was filed Oct. 27, 2015.

Terhune alleges that on July 7, 2014 she was traveling on Dowlen Road when Merritt rear-ended her.

Beaumont attorney Ryan Scott represents her.

The second case, Emillano Giudici et al v. Chantel Randolph et al, was filed April 7, 2015.

According to the lawsuit, on March 29, 2014, Randolph struck Giudici and his family while they were traveling in Jefferson County.
