HOUSTON — A Houston law firm is suing a Katy client, alleging failure to pay for completed work.

The Hale Firm PC filed a complaint Feb. 21 in Harris County Circuit Court against Christopher Morris Muniz alleging he failed his duty to pay the plaintiff for its legal services.

According to the complaint, on March 23, 2015, The Hale Firm and Muniz entered into an agreement, evidenced by a contract, by which the plaintiff would be compensated for providing legal services to its client. The suit says The Hale Firm fully complied with the agreement but failed to received payments amounting to $1,889.18 from the defendant.

The plaintiff alleges Muniz has failed to compensate Hale Firm for services rendered.

The Hale Firm seeks trial by jury, judgment of $1,889.18 as the principal amount due, pre and post-judgment interest, at least $5,000 for attorney fees, costs of court and all further equitable relief. It is represented by attorney by Hal D. Hale of The Hale Firm, PC in Houston.
