Oklahoma motorist blames truck driver for crash

Car accident 17

GALVESTON — An Oklahoma motorist is suing another driver and his company, alleging their negligence caused a crash.

Kenisha Miles of Oklahoma City filed a complaint March 15, in Galveston District Court for the Southern District of Texas against Curtis Green, J.B. Hunt Transport Inc. and Southwest T&I Inc., alleging violation of the Texas Transportation Code.

According to the complaint, on May 29, 2015, Miles was injured when Green, who was operating a tractor-trailer owned by Southwest and leased by J. B. Hunt, negligently struck and dragged the plaintiff's vehicle. The suit says Miles sustained injuries that caused physical pain and mental anguish, loss of earning capacity and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Green failed to make a proper turn, failed to maintain careful lookout and failed to provide adequate warning.

Miles seeks trial by jury, compensatory damages, interest and all other relief. She is represented by attorneys Joe K. Mitchell, Timothy R. Allen and S. Monette Porter of The Linebaugh Law Firm in Baytown.
