Mother blames classic auto company for injuries

Slip01

GALVESTON — A Brazoria County woman is suing a Galveston classic automobile business, alleging its negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff and her child.

Jennie Mason, individually and as next friend of minor child A.M., filed a complaint May 1 in Galveston County District Court against Classic Autoplex GM LLC, alleging failure to maintain the premises in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, on March 24, while Mason was entering the defendant’s store in Galveston carrying her 1-year-old child, A.M.,  she slipped and fell on a slick substance on the floor. The suit says Mason sustained severe injuries that caused loss of earnings, medical expenses, pain, suffering and mental anguish.

The lawsuit says the minor child A.M. also was injured. The plaintiff alleges Classic Autoplex GM failed to correct the condition or to warn the plaintiff about the dangerous condition.

Mason seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of the minimum jurisdictional limits of this court, interests, costs of court and all other relief. She is represented by attorneys Jack H. Holtzman and John A. Daspit of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
