HOUSTON — A Harris County security systems provider is suing the owners of a Houston dog care business, alleging negligence led to a dog attack on the plaintiff.

Damascus Washington filed a complaint July 13 in Harris County District Court against Schnauzer Almost Home LLC d/b/a Almost Home Doggie Day Care and Boarding, Alan J. Kuehler and Rocio M. Herrera, alleging they failed to prevent their dog from injuring the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 12, 2015, Washington was lawfully at the defendants' premises on Northcourt Road, Houston, to check a video security system when he was chased and attacked by the defendants vicious dogs. One of the dogs, the suit says, bit Washington's scrotum and penis, which required surgical sutures to repair the punctured lacerations.

Washington says he has suffered medical expenses, lost earnings and pain and suffering. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to warn him about the dogs' vicious and dangerous propensities.

Washington seeks a jury trial, monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million and all other equitable relief.  He is represented by attorneys K. Greg Eidman Jr. and Courtney B. Gahm-Oldham of McFall, Breitbeil & Eidman PC in Houston.
