Poindexter Dental Group patient alleges injuries after dental work

Medical malpractice 05

HOUSTON – The patient of a Houston dental practice alleges that she was injured because of a procedure.

Elizabeth Harmon filed a complaint on July 28 in the Harris County District Court against Dr. Zeb Poindexter and Poindexter Dental Group alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was treated by the defendants on July 29, 2015, and alleges the defendants failed to disclose that oral anesthesia involved risks and hazards. She alleges she was caused to suffer temporary ischemic attacks because of the anesthesia.

The plaintiff holds Poindexter and Poindexter Dental Group responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to properly perform the medical treatment necessary and failed to consult a specialist in the field of anesthesia and nerve damage.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, prejudgment interest, costs of court and such other lawful and equitable relief. She is represented by Lanease D. Fuller in Houston.
