HOUSTON – A dentist has pursued legal action on claims of nonpayment, recent Harris County District Court records show.

Dr. Sophie Doan filed a lawsuit against Sun Dental Group, P.A., Dr. Davin Enoyoza Odia, and Irene Odia on Dec. 22, accusing the defendants of not paying her for her work from September 2015 through April 2016.

The defendants employed Doan from Sept. 9, 2015 to Sept. 9, 2016. They reportedly had an agreement in which the plaintiff worked at the respondents’ Deer Park office on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and one Saturday a month and Tuesdays, Thursdays, and two Saturdays a month at the Bissonnet branch.

Per recent court documents, Doan was initially paid $600 per day for the first 90 days and was eventually paid for her work at the Bissonnet office from January to September 2016. She was paid for her services at the Deer Park clinic for the months of September 2015 through April 2016, but the defendants refused to compensate her for the months of May through September of 2016, the original petition alleges.

Doan asserts the respondents committed a breach of contract.

She is represented by attorney David J. Manley of Houston.
