HOUSTON – A Houston woman alleges she was injured in a medical facility after tripping on a rubber divider.

Susie John Cristin filed a complaint on Dec. 22, 2017, in the Harris County District Court against CHCA Bayshore LP, doing business as Bayshore Medical Center and doing business as East Houston Regional Medical Center, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 23, 2015, she was injured when she tripped and fell on a rubber divider that was improperly placed in one of the rooms at defendant's hospital.

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to warn of the divider and failed to use ordinary care to protect persons from dangerous activities.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million. She is represented by Corey Gomel and Dominique Bartholet of Gomel & Associates PC in Houston.
