HOUSTON – A software development company is suing a New Caney woman for alleged workplace theft, according to recent Harris County District Court records.

Simple Software, LLC claims in court papers filed on Feb. 13 in the 11th District Court that Brittney Boutte used the business’s credit cards “for her own personal use.”

Boutte purportedly charged nearly $30,000 in personal expenditures and was terminated. According to Simple Software, the respondent has not reimbursed it.

Court papers do not mention whether Boutte faced criminal charges.

The law firm Andrews Myers, P.C. is representing the complainant.
