LOCKE LORD LLP: Austin Partner Michelle Earley Named to Austin Black Business ‎Journal’s Top 10 Central Texas Super Lawyers List‎

Locke Lord LLP issued the following announcement on Feb. 13.

Austin Partner Michelle Earley has been recognized as one of the 2019 Top 10 Central Texas Super Lawyers by Austin Black Business Journal for her achievements in the legal field and dedication to the ideals of the profession. Earley will be honored at a reception on March 21 at Huston Tillotson University’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Earley is a Corporate Partner and a member of Locke Lord’s Executive Committee. She also serves as Co-Chair of the Firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee and is a member of the Lateral Hire Committee. In her practice, she handles a wide range of corporate and securities matters for public and private companies with extensive experience in representing issuers, underwriters and selling stockholders in registered public offerings, Rule 144A transactions as well as equity and debt private placements, and merger and acquisition transactions. She also advises management and boards of directors of companies in all types of industries on general corporate governance matters.

She is an active member of the Austin community, serving as Secretary of the Austin Ed Fund Board, the Executive Committee of the Austin Area Research Organization and a member of the Board of Directors of Westcave Discovery Outdoor Center. Earley is also a member in the Junior League of Austin, the Austin Chapter of Jack and Jill of America Inc., and Impact Austin, as well as a regular volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She is a member of the Leadership Austin Class of 2011 and served as the General Counsel to the Austin Chamber of Commerce in 2017. In 2016, she was selected to participate as a Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellow.

Other 2019 honorees include two retired Texas Supreme Court justices, former general counsel for the Governor of Texas and a former city attorney for Austin.
