HOUSTON — A man claims his foot became caught on uneven concrete pads at the Millennium Tower in Houston and caused him to suffer a broken hip and other serious injuries.

Charles Leyendecker filed a complaint March 8 in Harris County District Court against Woodbranch Management Inc., and Millennium-Windfall Partners LTD alleging negligence and premises liability.

Leyendecker alleges in his complaint that on Jan. 18, 2021, he was entering Millennium Tower on Richmond Avenue in Houston. He claims there was a "misalignment" between two concrete pads on the walkway that his foot got caught in which caused him to loose his balance.

Leyendecker alleges he "careened" into reinforced glass and broke his hip and splintered a bone in his arm and had to receive "extensive" medical treatment.

He alleges the negligence of Millennium Windfall Partners for failing to protect him against the trip hazard and failed to warn of the dangerous condition that was allowed to exist due to their failure to maintain their premises.

Leyendecker seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by Jim Hart and William Langley of Williams Hart Boundas Easterby LLP in Houston.
