HOUSTON — A patron alleges club security guards' excessive force caused his injuries.

Osasu Okundaye filed a compliant  April 19 in Harris County District Court against O2 Lounge LLC alleging negligence.

Okundaye was at the O2 Lounge on Sept. 21, 2021, according to his complaint. He claims that after paying $20 to park and $20 to enter the lounge, he had to return to his car to get his cell phone. Okundaye alleges that when he tried to re-enter the lounge, the security guard demanded $5 to enter the club. He further alleges that while trying to explain that he left the premises to get his cell phone and had already paid, that other security guards removed him and hit him in the face.

Okundaye claims he fell to the ground and suffered a fracture to his orbital socket and "significant" lacerations to his face. He alleges the O2 Lounge's negligence for failing to train and adequately supervise its security guards. Okundaye also claims O2 failed to develop safety policies and procedures and alleges their negligence for their security guards using excessive force and striking him in the face. He also claims as a result of his injuries, he has incurred medical treatment expenses and suffered impairment.

Okundaye seeks monetary relief of at least $250,000, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Brian Crockett of Crockett Law PC in Houston.
