AUSTIN–A former employee of Automation Personnel Services alleges that a switch in positions caused him to come into contact with a dangerous substance.

Plaintiff Adrian Trevino filed a lawsuit in the Harris County District Court against The Euclid Chemical Company and Automation Personnel Services, Inc., citing negligence.

According to the lawsuit, Automation Personnel assigned Trevino to work for Euclid as a forklift driver on July 16, 2020.

The plaintiff states that Euclid switched him to the assembly line and was tasked with rapidly loading up to 100 industry sacks of grout into pallets. Trevino claims he heard his spine snap while working and further alleges that the company didn't provide him with enough protective equipment to protect him from hazardous chemicals. The suit says the grout seemingly caused the plaintiff to contract visible red rashes on his skin.

Trevino further adds upon informing his supervisor, she told him the effect that many workers aren't fit for the position because of their sensitivity to the smell and he was subsequently sent home.

The plaintiff claims he has suffered injuries, pain and suffering, mental anguish and that Trevino has incurred medical expenses and will continue to require the services of medical staff to recover. He further claims that his injuries will impact his ability to earn income

The plaintiff is requesting a jury trial to award damages in excess of $1,000,000.00, plus court costs, interest, and any other relief the court deems proper. He is represented in this case by the attorney Rachel Martin-Decklemann of Fitts Law Firm, PLLC. in Houston.
