On March 28, 2024, a lawsuit was filed in the District Court of Harris County, Texas by plaintiff Delsy Alvarado against defendant Fiesta Mart LLC. The court case ID is 2024-19995 and it revolves around an incident that occurred at Fiesta Mart located at 6200 Bellaire Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77081, where Alvarado alleges she suffered serious bodily injuries due to a dangerous condition on the premises.

The plaintiff, Delsy Alvarado is a resident of Houston, Harris County, Texas. The defendant, Fiesta Mart LLC is a limited liability corporation doing business in Texas. On May 3, 2022, Alvarado claims she slipped and fell on a slippery substance on the floor near the checkout aisle of the grocery store. She further alleges that there were no warning signs near the substance and she was not warned by any of Fiesta Mart's employees about the dangerous condition.

The lawsuit states that as a result of this incident, Alvarado suffered serious injuries when she fell and the shopping cart she was using also fell on top of her. It asserts that Fiesta Mart should have known about this dangerous condition due to its employee proximity to it. The amount in controversy exceeds the minimum jurisdictional limits of this Court.

Alvarado is seeking judgment against Fiesta Mart for their alleged negligence in failing to adequately warn customers about the dangerous condition or make it safe. She argues that as an invitee on the premises, Fiesta Mart owed her a duty to inspect and make said conditions safe or at least warn her about them.
