Elida Gonzalez has filed a lawsuit against Walgreen Co., operating as Walgreens Store No. 2809, in the District Court of Harris County, Texas. The court case ID is 2024-19860 and was filed on March 28, 2024.

Gonzalez, a resident of Houston, alleges that she slipped and fell on a dangerous condition at the defendant's store located at 220 S Wayside Dr., Houston, TX 77011 on April 07, 2022. The plaintiff asserts that this dangerous condition was a slippery substance on the floor of the store which caused her to fall and severely injure her left wrist, arm, hand, shoulder, hip, neck and body generally.

The plaintiff contends that Walgreens had extended an open invitation to the public to enter its premises for purchasing goods and services. As such, Gonzalez entered as a business invitee with the defendant's knowledge for their mutual benefit. She claims that Walgreens maintained an unreasonable risk of harm on its premises.

In her original petition to the court, Gonzalez seeks monetary relief over $1 million for her injuries. She also requests that if any parties are misnamed or not included in the lawsuit they should be considered "misidentified", "misnomer" or "alter ego" and their corporate veils should be pierced to hold them properly included in the interest of justice.
