Sophia Hernandez sues Spec's Family Partners for personal injury due to negligence

Sophia Hernandez has filed a lawsuit against Spec's Family Partners, Ltd in the District Court of Harris County, Texas. The case, identified as 2024-18909 and filed on March 25, 2024, alleges personal injury due to negligence.

On April 2, 2022, Hernandez was working at Little Woodrow’s Heights in Houston when an employee of the defendant company, Javier Vala, struck her ankle with a hand truck. The impact caused severe injuries that required stitches and extensive medical care. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant's conduct directly led to her injuries and damages.

Hernandez is seeking damages for past and future medical expenses, physical pain and suffering, mental anguish, physical impairment, lost wages and lost earning capacity. She asserts that all these injuries were proximately caused by the negligence of Spec's Family Partners.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief over $250,000 but not more than $1,000,000. Additionally, she is entitled to pre-judgment and post-judgment interest according to law and equity as part of her compensation.
