On March 28, 2024, a lawsuit was filed in the District Court of Harris County, Texas (Court Case ID: 2024-1 9778 / Court: 189) by plaintiff Bora Chang against defendants Liliana Grace Esparza, Stephen Andrew Horn, Kelli Horn Esparza and USAA General Indemnity Company. The case revolves around an alleged vehicular collision caused by defendant Liliana's negligence resulting in damages to the plaintiff.

The incident occurred on August 29, 2022, when defendant Liliana allegedly failed to yield the right of way while exiting a private lot located on the 11400 block of Telge Rd., causing a collision with plaintiff's vehicle. The plaintiff asserts that the accident was solely due to Liliana's negligence and not any fault of their own. Furthermore, it is claimed that the vehicle driven by Liliana was owned and maintained by defendants Stephen and/or Kelli who are accused of negligently entrusting the vehicle to an incompetent and reckless driver.

The lawsuit also involves USAA General Indemnity Company as they provided an insurance policy covering the plaintiff at the time of the accident. The policy included uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage amounting to $50,000 per person.

Bora Chang seeks monetary relief over $250,000 but not more than $1,000,000 for damages sustained from the accident. These damages are believed to be a direct result of defendant Liliana's negligence which includes failure to control speed, maintain assured clear distance and yield right-of-way among others.
