In a lawsuit filed in the County Civil Court at Law Number of Harris County, Texas, plaintiff Geoconda Pacheco Flores is suing defendant Deborah Dancer. The court case ID is 1225499 and the filing was made on April 3, 2024. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant's negligence resulted in a car accident that caused her significant injury and pain. The plaintiff's lawyer has requested a Level 2 discovery plan and seeks monetary relief of $250,000 or less, excluding interest, statutory or punitive damages and penalties, attorney’s fees and costs.

The incident occurred on April 7, 2023, when Flores was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Yaimara Treminio in Houston, Harris County. Defendant Dancer allegedly failed to yield right of way at an open intersection and collided with the vehicle Flores was traveling in. Officer D. Sotomayor Rodriguez of the Houston Police Department issued citation number 146764843 to Dancer for her negligence and violation of the Texas Transportation Code.

Flores claims that as a direct result of the collision, she suffered great pain, discomfort, and injury. She accuses Dancer of multiple failures including not yielding right-of-way at an open intersection, distracted driving, unsafe lane entry attempts among others which she believes constitute negligence per se.

Flores is seeking judgment for all other relief to which she may show herself to be entitled to including damages of any kind, penalties, costs, expenses, pre-judgment interest, post-judgment interest and attorney’s fees. She further argues that her claim is within the jurisdictional limits of this Court as all or a substantial part of the events giving rise to her causes of action occurred in Harris County.
