The lawsuit was filed by Philadelphia Indemnity Insurance Company, A/S/O Randall’s Riding Share LLC against Adine Rotman in the Harris County - County Civil Court at Law, No. 4, with the court case ID 1226089 on April 10, 2024. The plaintiff is seeking monetary relief of $250,000 or less for damages caused to a vehicle insured by them due to an accident involving the defendant.

The incident occurred on October 13, 2023 when Adine Rotman allegedly ran a red light and collided with the insured vehicle driven by Aniesha Whitter. The plaintiff claims that Rotman's negligence was both the proximate cause and cause in fact of their damages.

The plaintiff paid its insured for damage to their property, less the deductible. However, some of the damages were not covered by Rotman’s insurance carrier which led Philadelphia to file this lawsuit to recover the remaining amount. The total damages sought are less than $10,000.

Philadelphia Indemnity Insurance Company is seeking judgment against Adine Rotman for costs of repair, all court costs, pre- and post-judgment interest and any other relief to which they may be entitled. If successful and if the judgment remains unpaid, they will seek to have Rotman’s driver’s licenses suspended under the Motor Vehicle Safety Responsibility Act.
