Goddy Uzowuru sues Angelica Moreno-Ocampo for traffic accident damages

In a lawsuit filed in the County Civil Court at Law No. 1, Harris County, Texas (Case No. undisclosed), plaintiff Goddy Uzowuru is suing defendant Angelica Moreno-Ocampo. The case was filed on March 25, 2024 and pertains to a traffic accident that occurred on October 27, 2022.

Uzowuru alleges that while he was driving legally and cautiously on South Mason Road, Moreno-Ocampo attempted to cross five lanes of traffic from west to east and struck his vehicle. The collision resulted in significant bodily injuries requiring medical attention for Uzowuru and damage to his vehicle.

The plaintiff claims that Moreno-Ocampo breached her duty of care by failing to control speed, maintain an assured clear distance between vehicles, yield at an intersection, reduce speed prior to the collision, apply brakes timely, maintain a proper lookout, drive attentively, maintain proper control of her vehicle and obey the statutes of the State of Texas pertaining to the operation of a motor vehicle.

Uzowuru is seeking monetary relief of $250,000 or less excluding interest, statutory or punitive damages and attorney's fees and costs. He reserves the right to amend his pleadings after the discovery process.
