Kendrick Breed has filed a lawsuit against Exal Deleon in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, under the case ID 2024-18514. The filing was made on March 22, 2024. The plaintiff accuses the defendant of negligence that resulted in a motor vehicle collision.

The incident occurred on July 14, 2023, when Breed's vehicle experienced engine trouble on Katy Freeway in Harris County. Despite activating his hazard lights and slowing down, Deleon allegedly failed to control his speed and rear-ended Breed's vehicle at a high rate. The plaintiff is represented by an undisclosed attorney.

Breed claims that Deleon's failure to maintain control of his speed, keep a proper lookout for other vehicles' safety, yield right of way, stop or turn to avoid collision, operate his motor vehicle with ordinary care, maintain a reasonable distance between vehicles and driving at an excessive speed all constitute negligence. He seeks monetary remedies exceeding $250,000 but not more than $1 million excluding interest, statutory or punitive damages and penalties, attorney fees and costs.
