John Allen Lennon has filed a lawsuit against Joshua Ramos Carabajal, the Houston Fire Department, the Houston Police Department, and others in the District Court of Harris County, Texas. The case, identified as 2024-18676 and filed on March 22, 2024, alleges that Lennon suffered significant physical and emotional damages due to negligence and racially motivated misconduct by the defendants.

The plaintiff's complaint outlines an incident on March 23, 2022, where Lennon was involved in a car accident in Harris County. According to the filing, Lennon swerved to avoid another motorist and crashed into a fence. As a result of the crash, he sustained severe head and neck injuries. A paramedic named Joshua Ramos Carabajal is accused of mishandling Lennon at the scene, causing further injury.

Lennon alleges that Carabajal aggressively pulled him from his vehicle and left him face down on the ground for over five minutes. He also claims that Carabajal verbally attacked him when he expressed his pain. The plaintiff asserts that these actions were racially motivated as he is an African-American man.

In seeking justice for his ordeal, Lennon demands compensation for his physical injuries, mental anguish caused by Carabajal's alleged verbal attack, and further damages incurred due to negligence during his transportation to hospital. He argues that these actions violated Texas Code of Ethics for EMS Practitioners.
