Those with outstanding warrants have a last chance to pay up.
Precinct 8 Justice of the Peace Tom Gillam has planned a warrant roundup on July 25. He announced the roundup to give citizens a week to settle the warrants before officers hit homes and businesses to bring in the offenders.
The warrant roundup will be for all cases including bad checks, traffic, Parks and Wildlife and failure to appear.
Citizens have until 4:30 p.m. July 24 to contact the court at (409) 983-8330. Fines and court costs can also be paid at the Jefferson County Sub-Courthouse, 525 Lakeshore Drive in Port Arthur.
