Women sue after collision with transportation company vehicle

By David Yates | Feb 20, 2008

Virgina and Betty Slaughter have filed suit against Ace Transportation, claiming their vehicle was struck by an "unknown" driver in an Ace company vehicle.

The suit was filed in the Orange County District Court on Feb. 11.

According to the plaintiffs' petition, the collision occurred on Feb. 13, 2006 more than two years ago.

"Plaintiffs were injured in an automobile accident whereupon the vehicle owned by Ace Transportation and driven by an unknown party turned into the vehicle in which Virgina and Betty Slaughter were traveling in, causing them injuries and damages," the suit said.

The suit does not state where the collision occurred.

The plaintiffs fault Ace and its unknown driver for failing to keep a proper lookout, failing to control the vehicle's rate of speed and failing to apply the vehicle's brakes.

The plaintiffs are suing for past and future mental anguish, impairment, medical expenses and lost wages.

They are represented by David Dies of the Dies and Parkhurst law firm.

The case has been assigned to the 163rd Judicial District, Judge Dennis Powell.

Case No. B-080062-c
