    On Nov. 1, 2006, the plaintiff, a Matrix employee, was injured while on the job. The plaintiff claims the company doctor put him on light duty, but there were no light duty positions available.

    On Nov. 27, 2006, the plaintiff claims he was fired for pursuing workers' comp benefits.

    He is suing for punitive damages, plus mental anguish and lost wages.

    On Dec. 4, 2006, Steve Arnold was traveling north on the Eastex Freeway in Beaumont when Moore, a Thermospas employee, rear-ended him and pushed his vehicle to the shoulder.

    The plaintiffs allege the defendant driver allegedly negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and are suing for past and future mental anguish, lost wages, medical expenses and impairment, plus all court costs.

    A Texas woman has filed an asbestos suit on behalf of her recently deceased husband against 33 defendant corporations, claiming the asbestos-related disease with which he was diagnosed was wrongfully caused.

    Lois Robinson claims Warren Robinson worked as an operator and in various other roles where he was required to work with and around asbestos and asbestos containing products

    The plaintiff is seeking exemplary and actual damages.

  • David Landry vs. Chevron USA

    PA - Keith Hyde, J - Bob Wortham

    A League City man has filed an asbestos suit on behalf of his recently deceased father against Chevron, claiming the pulmonary asbestosis and lung cancer with which he was diagnosed was wrongfully caused.

    David K. Landry claims his father Donnie G. Landry died from the disease Dec. 8, 2006. He is suing for punitive damages.

  • Joe and Vivian Byerly vs. Aaron Bergeron and Darlene Daniels

    On Dec. 12, 2006, Joe Byerly was traveling south on the Highway 69 service road in Port Arthur. He stopped for a traffic signal and was rear-ended and pushed into the vehicle in front of him by defendant Bergeron.

    The suit further faults Daniels with negligent entrustment.

    The plaintiffs allege the defendant driver allegedly negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and are suing for past and future mental anguish, lost wages, medical expenses and impairment, plus all court costs.

    Individually and on behalf of her minor children the plaintiff is suing the defendant for allegedly causing an automobile collision on Aug. 4, 2007.

    The suit says the defendant caused the collision by talking on his cell phone and running a stop sign.

    The plaintiffs allege the defendant driver allegedly negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and are suing for past and future mental anguish, lost wages, medical expenses and impairment, plus all court costs.

    On May 8 the plaintiffs discovered foundation damage to their home.

    The plaintiffs submitted a claim for damages up to $50,000 and were denied.

    They are are accusing Farmers of DTPA violations and are suing for damages less than $75,000.
