  • Randolph Arreaza vs. Capitol Crew Construction

    The plaintiff is suing his employer for allegedly failing to provide him with a safe workplace.

    The plaintiff claims he was instructed to work in a hazardous scaffold which caused him to fall 25 feet.

    The incident happened on Oct. 23, 2008, at a Port Arthur construction site.

    The plaintiff is suing for past and future mental anguish, pain, impairment, lost wages and medical expenses, plus attorney's fees.

    The wife and children of a deceased man are suing two giant corporations, claiming the man's exposure to asbestos in the workplace played a role in his death from mesothelioma.

    According to the complaint, Michael W. Osborne Sr. developed mesothelioma after his work at Texaco and other facilities in Jefferson County.

    During his work, Michael W. Osborne Sr. was exposed to asbestos fibers and dust, which caused his disease, the complaint says.

    Although Texaco and Chevron knew about the harms of asbestos for decades, they failed to warn Michael W.

    Osborne of the product's danger and failed to ensure that their employees were not exposed to the carcinogen, the lawsuit states.

    The Osbornes are seeking punitive and exemplary damages, plus interest at the legal rate, costs and other relief to

    which they may be entitled.
