Winners of the 2010 BBB Torch Awards for Marketplace Trust

Copy & Camera Technologies, small business winners

Classic Chevrolet-Cadillac, large busines winners

Classic Chevrolet-Cadillac of Beaumont and Copy & Camera Technologies in Beaumont and Lafayette are the winners of the 2010 Torch Awards for Marketplace Trust presented Tuesday night, May 4th, by the Better Business Bureau of Southeast Texas during its 13th annual awards presentation banquet. The event was held at the Beaumont Civic Center.

The BBB Consumer Education Foundation Inc. made a $10,000 contribution to continue funding endowed Better Business Bureau College of Business scholarships at Lamar University, bringing total contributions for the past 13 years to $130,000.

Burris Transfer & Storage in Beaumont and R.O. Williams Jr., owner of Republic Payment Plans, each received this year's recognition as the "Friend of the BBB." Brian Tracy, author, business consultant and advisor, was the keynote speaker.

Finalists for this year's awards included: Classic Chevrolet-Cadillac of Beaumont, Entergy-Texas in Beaumont, and Jason's Deli, headquartered in Beaumont, in the large business category; American Steam-A-Way of Port Neches, Anderson Ford Mercury in Cleveland, and Copy & Camera Technologies in Beaumont and Lafayette in the small business category.

Classic Chevrolet-Cadillac in Beaumont was the large business winner and Copy & Camera Technologies in Beaumont & Lafayette was the small business winner.

Michael Clayton, President/CEO of the Better Business Bureau of Southeast Texas, was the master of ceremonies at this year's award gathering.

Bill Leger, Larry Beaulieu, Greg Bostwick, and Kelli Phillips of KFDM-TV, Kevin Steele, Jackie Simien, Brian Burns, and Ericka Harris of KBMT-TV, Greg Picazo and Beverly Brooks of KJAC-TV, Mike McNeill and Nick Kosir of KBTV-TV, Harold Mann of KLVI-AM, and Kevin Born of KCOL-FM introduced award finalists and announced the two winners.

Proceeds from the Torch Award for Marketplace Trust presentation banquet, and silent auction benefited the BBB Consumer Education Foundation Inc., to support the endowed Better Business Bureau College of Business scholarships at Lamar University.
