A Beaumont business filed an application for a writ of garnishment against a Port Arthur company.
Crenshaw Enterprises doing business as Tiger Industrial Rentals claims it obtained a judgment in its favor from R&D Environmental Services on Dec. 4 for $42,790.53, plus interest at 5 percent per annum, costs of $305 and attorneys' fees of $2,000.
According to the application filed Feb. 5 in Jefferson County District Court, R&D has still not paid the money it owes. However, it does not have property in Texas that would satisfy the amount of the claim.
Now, Crenshaw wants to garnish property from defendant Oil Mop because it remains indebted to R&D, the suit states.
John Seth Bullard of Orgain, Bell and Tucker in Beaumont will be representing it.
The case has been assigned to Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court.
Jefferson County District Court case number: D185-872.
