Four corporations acting as partners in a Jefferson County business want the court to clarify their partnership agreements after one partner withdrew.
Gulfstar Rental Solutions, Naymola Investments, Gulfco Industrial Equipment and National Pump and Compressor filed a lawsuit March 24 in Jefferson County District Court against Andrew W. Foster.
The plaintiffs claim Foster attempted to withdraw as a limited partner, but his withdrawal remains subject to the approval of the general partner and the other limited partners � the plaintiffs.
"A justiciable controversy exists between Plaintiffs and Defendant regarding the construction of the partnership agreements and/or rights, obligations and/or legal status of the parties in relation to each of the partnership agreements," the suit states.
The plaintiffs seek a judgment declaring they have not breached their partnership agreements and want the court to determine the rights, obligations and legal statuses of the parties involved in the partnership agreements.
In addition, they seek a judgment in excess of the minimum jurisdictional limit of Jefferson County District Court, plus pre- and post-judgment interest, costs and other relief the court deems just.

The case has been assigned to Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court.
