LUFKIN � A Texas resident is accusing her former employer of creating a sexually hostile work environment, retaliation and wrongful termination.
Christine Hansen filed suit against Mazz Moonies, doing business as Z Food Mart, on May 5 in the Lufkin Division of the Eastern District of Texas.
Hansen states her employer subjected her to a "sexually hostile working environment by threatening to fire her if she did not perform sexual favors for him."
Hansen claims that one more than one occasion her supervisor inappropriately touched her, according to the complaint.
Further, Hansen claims that her employer retaliated against her after she filed a claim with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
"Defendant's family members have repeatedly driven by Plaintiff's place of residence and made the finger motion to her," the complaint states.
She argues the defendant intentionally inflicted emotional distress by using racial slurs and associated work related harassment.
The plaintiff is seeking more than $75,000 in damages for back pay, loss of fringe benefits, loss of future earnings and future lost benefits, emotional distress, front pay, punitive damages, interest, attorney's fees, litigation expenses and costs.
Jury trial requested.
