Bank sues men to recover loan payments

A bank claims a Liberty County man and an Osceola County man have failed to make payments on their loans.

Community Bank of Texas filed a lawsuit May 12 in Jefferson County District Court against Matthew A. Casey. It filed a second lawsuit May 12 against William D. Anderson.

Community Bank claims Casey owes $30,241 on a loan on which he stopped making payments.

Anderson owes $17,548.61 on a loan on which he defaulted, according to the complaint.

Community Bank alleges breach of written contract against Casey and Anderson.

In addition to the money it says Casey and Anderson owe it, Community Bank seeks pre- and post-judgment interest at the highest legal rate, attorney's fees, costs and other relief to which it may be entitled.

John Pat Parsons of the Lindsay Law Firm in Beaumont will be representing it.

Both cases have been assigned to Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court.

Jefferson County District Court case number: B186-835, B186-836.
