A Beaumont woman claims she suffered physical pain and mental anguish after a driver rear-ended her vehicle.
April Moore filed a lawsuit June 9 in Jefferson County District Court against Michael and Kelly Kramer.
Moore claims she sat stopped at a red light at the intersection of Seventh Street and North Street in Beaumont on Nov. 20, 2008, when Kelly Kramer, who drove a vehicle owned by Michael Kramer, suddenly struck the rear of Moore's vehicle.
In addition to her physical pain and mental anguish, Moore suffered disfigurement and physical impairment and incurred medical costs because of the collision, according to the complaint.
Moore blames Kelly Kramer for causing the collision, saying she failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to timely and properly apply her brakes, failed to safely stop her vehicle and failed to keep her vehicle under control. In addition, Michael Kramer should never have lent his vehicle to Kelly Kramer, knowing her to be a reckless and incompetent driver, the suit states.
In her complaint, Moore seeks actual damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs and other relief the court deems just.

The case has been assigned to Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court.
