GALVESTON - A Katy carpet business owner seeks to recover approximately $22,000 from a Friendswood-based residential home builder, recent court documents say.
Angel Villegas, doing business as Angel's Carpet, claims he had valid and enforceable agreements with Brentwood Custom Homes Inc. which state he would perform labor and provide materials for the defendant in exchange for compensation.
Villegas's suit was filed June 21 in Galveston County Court No. 1.
Both parties entered into several construction contracts in December 2008. Villegas insists he completed the projects, but did not receive payment.
He eventually sent a demand letter more than six months later.
Attorney Saeed Tellawi of Houston is representing Villegas.
The case has been assigned to Galveston County Court No. 1 Judge Mary Nell Crapitto.
