Six new lawsuits against insurance companies over Hurricane Ike damage claims have been filed in Jefferson County District Court, Sept. 13-17, 2010.

The following complaints have been filed:

  • Raymond and Yolanda Bailey of 1016 West Drive in Port Neches allege State Farm Lloyds denied their claim for contents, roof, structural, water and wind damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008.   • Carey and Lois Balka of 3142 Terrell St. in Beaumont allege State Farm Lloyds denied their claim for contents, structure, roof, water and wind damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008.   • Gabriela and Jose Cardenas of 3435 11th St. in Port Arthur allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied their claim for contents, foundation, structure, water and wind damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008.   • Edward Humphries of 2919 Ave. D in Nederland alleges National Lloyds Insurance Company denied their claim for roof and wind damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008.   • Neldia Ross of 4201 Proctor St. in Port Arthur alleges Fire Insurance Exchange denied her claim for contents, roof, structure, water and wind damages caused to her property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008.   • Bassam and Randa Sfeir of 7865 Weaver Drive in Beaumont allege Farmers Insurance Exchange and Texas Farmers Insurance Company denied their claim for contents, structure, roof, water and wind damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008.
