In March, the family of the late Michael Ailes filed suit against Martin Gas Product Sales, claiming he prematurely died from cardiopulmonary arrest after being exposed to a toxic chemical.
On Nov. 29 plaintiffs Sharon Ailes, Brandi Lawrence and Tamika Evans filed a notice of deposition, informing the defense that the oral examination of witness Donovan Jones will take place 10 a.m. Dec. 16.
The plaintiffs claim Michael Ailes worked for Martin Gas Product Sales on July 23, 2009, when he was exposed to excessive amounts of hydrogen sulfide, causing him to suffer cardiopulmonary arrest and die.
According to television and newspaper reports at the time, co-workers found Ailes' body on a railcar at around 5:30 a.m.
Ailes' wife and children filed suit against Martin Gas on March 19.
Jones' deposition will take place at the office of the defendant's law firm, Calvert Eaves Clarke & Stelly in Beaumont.
The plaintiffs are seeking all wrongful death damages allowable under law.
