In September 2009, five Beaumont residents sued LD Construction, claiming the company indirectly damaged their cars while performing roadwork.

On Jan. 6, Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court, granted the plaintiffs' motion to dismiss, ordering that LD Constriction be dismissed with prejudice, court records show.

Justin Feldschau, Kim Stewart, James Johnson, John Kocurek and Gerald Alfaro filed their lawsuit Sept. 14, 2009, in Jefferson County District Court.

They claimed their vehicles were permanently damaged on March 6, 2009, as a result of roadwork LD Construction was performing on Tolivar Road in Beaumont.

The order was filed Jan. 11, court records show.

The plaintiffs were seeking actual damages.

LD Construction was represented by Houston attorney Joseph Heard.
