Mother, 6 children sue over auto collision

A mother and her six minor children have filed suit against area resident Alonzo Johnson for allegedly causing an automobile collision last January.

Individually and on behalf of her children, Dorlisa Warren filed the suit March 9 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to Warren's petition, the collision occurred Jan. 23, 2010, in Jefferson County because Johnson was driving in a negligent and reckless manner.

The suit does not state where or how the incident occurred.

The suit does, however, accuse Johnson of negligently failing to keep a proper lookout and apply the brakes in a timely manner.

The plaintiffs are suing for their alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Houston attorney Coby Arnsworth represents them.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, has been assigned to the case.
