A Texas shrimp supplier is suing a seafood market in Louisiana to recover more than $80,000 it owes the supplier.

Triangle Shrimp House in Nederland filed a lawsuit April 13 in Jefferson County District Court against Son Tran, doing business as Tropical Seafood, a seafood market in Golden Meadow, La.

In its complaint, Triangle claims it delivered unspecified goods and services to Tropical Seafood, but the restaurant failed to make payments on the items delivered.

"The principal balance due Plaintiff on the account is $83,219.70 after all just and lawful offsets, payments, and credits have been allowed," the suit states.

In its complaint, Triangle alleges breach of written contract against Tropical Seafood.

It seeks actual damages, plus pre- and post-judgment interest at the highest legal rate allowed by law, attorney's fees of at least $5,000, costs and other relief the court deems just.

Kevin H. Pham and Michael Gallevo of Kevin H. Pham and Associates in Houston will be representing it.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court, has been assigned to the case.

Case No. B189-771
