Two renters claim the home they rented had poison water flowing through its pipes, making the dwelling not fit for human habitation.

Alleging the property managers refused to remedy the issue, Robert Sandell and Carol Nobile filed suit against AMPM Door Service, Charles King and Katherine Parziale on June 13 in Jefferson County District Court.

"The plaintiffs rented a home through defendants but the home was not fit for human habitation," the suit states.

"The defendants were made aware of the deficiencies, including poisoned water and other serious problems, but took no remedial actions."

The plaintiffs are suing to recover damages for the injuries they suffered while living in the home, including past and future medical expenses, mental anguish and pain.

Beaumont attorney John Morgan represents them.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, has been assigned to the case.
