Suit claims girl experienced anxiety after wreck

A Beaumont couple has filed suit against the driver who they claim caused a collision and injured them and their minor daughter.

Tyler and Jessica Henderson claim they and their minor daughter, Autumn Henderson, were traveling on Highway 365 in the inside lane on July 8, 2009, when defendant Oanh Nguyen, who was driving a vehicle insured by defendant Luong Nguyen, turned from an improper lane and slammed into their vehicle.

Because of the collision, the Hendersons incurred medical costs, lost earnings and their earning capacity and sustained physical impairment, physical pain and mental anguish, according to the complaint filed June 14 in Jefferson County District Court.

In addition, Tyler and Jessica Henderson sustained severe pain and injuries to their shoulders and backs while Jessica Henderson also sustained injuries to her neck, the suit states. Their daughter suffered anxiety, the complaint says.

In their complaint, the Hendersons are seeking an unspecified judgment, plus pre-judgment interest, costs and other relief the court deems just.

They will be represented by Jonathan C. Juhan of Beaumont.
