CPR Services & Supplies has filed suit against the construction manager of the Beaumont independent School District Multipurpose Athletic Complex project, claiming it has not been paid for work performed.
CPR Services, doing business as MDN Enterprises, filed the suit against Turner/Hallmark JVI and Travelers Casualty on June 16 in Jefferson County District Court.
Travelers provided bond coverage for the project.
Court records show that CPR Services and a subcontractor entered into a contract with BISD to provide plumbing goods and materials for the complex.
The suit alleges the defendants are in charge of the project's account and are withholding CPR Services' monetary payment.
"Even though plaintiff supplied the products, services and materials to the project, and has made a claim for the same, the defendants have failed and refused to pay for the same," the suit states.
CPR Services accuses the defendants of violations of the government code/bond claim.
The company is suing for actual and consequential damages, plus all court costs.
Spring attorney Malcom Dishongh represents it.
Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
