Bridge City man sues over rear-end collision

Bridge city resident David McPherson has filed suit against Daina Martinez, a Port Arthur local, alleging she rear-ended him last March.

The suit was filed June 20 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on March 8, 2010, Martinez "rear-ended the vehicle in which McPherson was traveling, causing her (sic) significant injuries and damages.

The suit does not state where the collision occurred.

In his suit, McPherson alleges Martinez negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, control her rate of speed and apply her brakes.

The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
