Capital One sues Beaumont man for $17K

Capital One has filed suit against Beaumont resident Correy Barnes, seeking to collect more than $17,000 on a delinquent credit account.

The suit was filed July 25 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, Capital One asserts the defendant entered into an auto finance agreement with the bank.

The suit says the defendant has ceased making payments on the account, thereby creating a default.
