Trimac Transportation, trucker sued over collision

Louisiana resident Darrel Comeaux has filed suit against Trimac Transportation South and one of its truck drivers, Hal Brown, who allegedly caused a collision last November.

The suit, filed Aug. 15 in Jefferson County District Court, alleges that on Nov. 11, 2010, Brown, while in the course and scope of his employment, made an unsafe lane change and struck Comeaux's vehicle.

The incident occurred near milepost 842 on Interstate 10 and the investigating officer cited Brown afterwards, the suit states.

The suit accuses Brown of negligently failing to keep a proper lookout and Trimac of negligently entrusting him.

The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Houston attorney Kurt Arnold of Arnold & Itkin represents him.

Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, has been assigned to the case.
