A total of seven new lawsuits against insurance companies over hurricane damage claims were filed in Jefferson County District Court, Oct. 24-28, 2011.
The following complaints were filed:
Aaron M. and Debra Campbell of 4820 Griffing Drive in Port Arthur alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied a portion of their claim for roof and water damages caused to their premises after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Campbells will be represented by Danny R. Scott Jr. of Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: E191-260.
Thui Thai Chau of 1655 Montrose St. in Beaumont alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied a portion of his claim for roof and water damages caused to his property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Chau will be represented by Danny R. Scott Jr. of Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: B191-264.
Martin Figueroa, Jose Figueroa and Luz Figueroa of 4100 Wentworth Ave. in Port Arthur allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied their claim for roof and water damages caused to their building after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Figueroas are represented by Danny R. Scott Jr. of Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: E191-262.
Delton and Joy Guillory of 3834 Purdue Ave. in Port Arthur allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied a portion of their claim for roof and water damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Guillorys will be represented by Jason B. Speights, Todd A. Worrich and Joan M. Marron of Speights and Worrich in San Antonio. Jefferson County District Court case number: B191-268.
Erma Jones of 1749 11th St. in Port Arthur alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association failed to pay the full claim she submitted after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008, causing roof and water damages to her property. Ted and Pamela Metz of 2060 Bryant Way in Beaumont alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied a portion of their claim for roof and water damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Rosie Lyons Thomas of 2700 Third Ave. in Groves alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied a portion of her claim for roof and water damages caused to her property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008.
