Intersection collision results in lawsuit

Beaumont local Tommie Smith is suing Lumberton resident Kellie-Marie Lynn Schreck for causing an automobile collision at an intersection.

The suit was filed Dec. 28 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Sept. 1, 2010, Smith was traveling south on Cleveland Street in Beaumont when Schreck, who was traveling west on Pope, ran a stop sign and struck his vehicle.
