Poly Trucking sued for driver's collision

Alleging a Poly Trucking employee collided with a vehicle insured by her, Kim Anderson has filed suit against the company and the employee, Billy Reynolds.

The petition was filed Jan. 9 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Nov. 3, 2010, a vehicle insured by Anderson with Safe Auto Insurance was struck by Reynolds, who was in the course and scope of his employment with Poly Trucking, near 1599 Liberty in Beaumont.

The suit accuses Reynolds of negligently making an unsafe turn and failing to yield the right of way

The plaintiff is asking the court to withhold the fact that she is an insurance company from the jury.

She is suing for actual damages.

Dallas attorney Durward Moore represents her.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.
